In honor of Internship Week on GenJuice, it's only fitting to show off 11 interns who are making waves in their field and inspiring the rest of us.

Megan Mullholland
"Megan is a ROCKSTAR intern," says Creative Director Kane Sarhan at LocalResponse. "She is a master of all trades and knocks it out of the park no matter what she does." Megan can be found helping present pitches to $100,000 clients, developing core strategy for the company and creating campaigns for clients. She also loves walking the office puppy, who's so adorable he's on Twitter.
Talan Torriero
Not only is Talan an intern at CoverAwards.com, he's also launched his own company, Cyberinterns.com, to connect employers with virtual interns. Talan's internship experiences at Lunch.com, Warner Bros. Records and Akiva Goldsman's production company have positioned him to take his own business to the next level as he helps others attain meaningful internships.
Brooke Sinclair
Brooke is completing her certification in Nonprofit Leadership and Management with big plans to work for the United States Agency of International Development (USAID) after serving in the Peace Corps and attaining a Masters Degree in Intercultural Leadership, Management and Service. Last summer, she interned with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation as a Program Communications Assistant to help transform distressed neighborhoods into sustainable communities with improved quality of life.
Cindy Khandoker
Cindy is GenJuice's Distribution Manager and serves up the latest GenJuice goodies on Facebook, Twitter and everywhere else loyal readers hang out. Currently a sophomore at UC Berkeley interested in international trade and development and social enterprise, Cindy has previous experience in non-profit management and has worked with emerging organizations to build partnerships, launch marketing campaigns and develop strategic programs and initiatives.
Daniela Lapidous
A student at the Harker Upper School in San Jose, Daniela says she considers herself "a part-time high school student and a full-time crazy person, as I'm constantly chasing the next project to feel passionate about." After winning a grant from the Alliance for Climate Education, she co-founded an organization called SmartPowerEd to implement smart energy systems in high schools for the benefit of the environment and school energy costs, and has encouraged empowered students take action and save thousands of dollars.
Crystal C. Yan
Crystal an 18-year-old trilingual Chinese American social entrepreneur and student at Amherst College. She is the co-founder of the Social Startup Summit and co-producer of What's Next: 25 Big Ideas from Gen-Yers Under 25, a collaborative book project. Crystal also started an internship program for high school and college students while in high school and worked as a consultant in the pro-bono division of a consulting firm to help, Kidango, a non-profit serving low-income families.
Diane Kulseth
As an interactive marketing intern for Three Deep Marketing, Diane is involved with developing social media strategy for clients and working with the interactive team for search engine optimization (SEO) content strategy. Through her experience with Minnesota’s job bank, MinnesotaWorks.net and as an intern for the University of St. Thomas Career Development Center, Diane has presented to numerous student groups on the importance of social media in the job search.
Nathan Bashaw
Nathan Bashaw is a 21-year-old designer and entrepreneur, soon to graduate from Michigan State University. He is an intern for Gov. Rick Snyder in Michigan and is the founder of Thoughtback, a web-app that helps creatives stay inspired. When he's not hacking together a design, he's probably reading a book, listening to Wilco, and drinking a craft brew.
Shawn Koshy
University of Houston senior Shawn Koshy served as an Instrument Engineer Intern for Exxon Mobil in Houston, where he helped keep refineries safe by testing and maintaining their fail-safe mechanisms. As an intern for Texas Instruments, he made sure products released by the company were user friendly and functional for customers. Shawn is also a sound engineer with Clear Concept Media, fixes computers on the side and plans to work full time for Exxon Mobil after graduation this year.
Tina Yip
Tina is a student studying marketing and advertising in Boston University. Currently an intern at Hill Holliday, she is an aspirating digital marketer who lives and breathes social media. She spends much of her day reading about technology and engaging on Twitter. She is also a proud theatre and a cappella nerd who wishes life were a musical. Raisa Ahmad
Raisa Ahmad is a proud resident of Chandler, Arizona where she was born and raised. Raisa found the perfect combination of her love for science and enthusiasm for public health policy by pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering and minor in political science. Raisa interned on Capitol Hill and her interests are in the fields of microfluidics and lab-on-a chip technologies, science and technology policy, and global health. After completing her Master’s in Biomedical engineering, Raisa plans to obtain her J.D./MPH and work with nonprofit organizations in international healthcare development.
